Afghanistan Freedom and Equality Movement’s statement regarding the Russian delegation meeting with the Taliban
21 Feb 2023
In the name of Allah
Recently, the Taliban and Russian authorities have said that work on improving the human rights situation and comprehensive governance is going on.
This is despite the fact that, during more than one and a half years, the people of Afghanistan have witnessed thousands of cases of insane, brutal, vengeful behavior and clear violations of human rights. Now there are dozens of cases of desecration, violation of human dignity, violent encounters, policies Discrimination, disrespect, insults, humiliation, beatings, torture, terror, threats, intimidation, kidnapping, coercion, forced migration, banning women from education, restriction of freedom of speech and attacks on the cultural and identity symbols of the people are going on in all parts of Afghanistan.
These actions, which are clear examples of human rights violations, are only not followed up and investigated by Taliban leaders, but are also implicitly approved and encouraged by silence.
The Freedom and Equality Movement of Afghanistan, while welcoming the sincere efforts of all countries, organizations and international institutions, is expected to discuss and act seriously, responsibly and in a binding manner in order to fundamentally solve the current crisis of the country and restore the rights of the people.
